Our Final Newsletter of 2024!
Saving Angelica Pickles
Found abandoned and alone in a warehouse, this little one – later named Angelica Pickles- needed urgent help. She was brought to our Smitten Kitten Nursery for around the clock care by our amazing nursery staff. We were initially concerned about her survival being one day old and weighing just over 2 ounces. She quickly showed us she had no intent of doing anything but survive! Ten weeks later, weighing three pounds and in great health, she was adopted! We are so thankful for the community’s support of the Smitten Kitten Nursery so Angelica Pickles, and many other kittens like her, are given a chance at a happy, healthy life!
Spay Neuter Events
Our clinic has been busy! We hosted two Spay and Neuter Events in partnership with One Love Arizona.
The first event, on October 17th, was proudly sponsored by Tito’s Vodka! During this event, our clinic staff performed 35 free surgeries.
Our second event, on December 5th, was sponsored by Tooth & Honey and Northwest Dog Project. This day provided 40 families with free spay/neuter surgeries for their pets.
Our free spay and neuter events are made possible by the support of our partners, volunteers, and most importantly donors…we could not do it without you!
Know someone in need of free spay/neuter for their pitbull or pitbull mix? Spread the word and have them fill out the application here: https://www.oneloveaz.org/sterilization Let’s keep up this amazing work!
Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue Shows the Love!
